Experiential Bible Study
Author of Creating A Laboratory for Christian Living: Experiential Bible Study
This workshop is designed to integrate principles of experiential Bible study, learning style theory, and teaching style theory. The target audience is lay Bible teachers. Offered in one to three hour formats, the workshop moves well beyond the typical a Sunday School teacher training. The material presented challenges lay Bible teachers to question the basic assumptions of the schooling paradigm of Christian education, offering an approach to scripture study which integrates biblical truth and life experience. The workshop is based on the pioneering work of Findley Edge, the experiential learning theory of David Kolb, and a teaching style assessment piece. This is an unpublished workshop.
